USATF Level 1 school Coming to Albuquerque

USA Track & Field Coaching Education Level 1 School
January 18-19, 2014

This is a rare opportunity coming to Albuquerque High School to learn from incredible instructors, including Jeremy Fischer, whom rarely does Level 1 schools any more, and Alumni could just attend his sessions (as they would not need the certification). Here are the list of instructors:
Jeremy Fischer Currently Director of Operations at the Chula Vista OTC; Fischer is the current coach of Olympic gold medalist, and five time world champion, Brittney Reese, and WC gold medalist Will Claye. Over his collegiate coaching career Fischer has been responsible for guiding 17 student-athletes to NCAA All-American status. Fischer is USATF Level III Certified, holds Level II Certificates in the sprints, jumps and throws and currently serves as the Level 2 (event specific school) Jumps Lead Instructor.

Bill Godina
Over 35 years Track & Field coaching experience. Bill has coached at high school and elite levels. As a high school coach, he has 30 state champions in Wyoming, Colorado, and Arizona. Bill coached the Wyoming Boys and Colorado Girls Shot & Discus record holders. In addition he’s coached two Golden West Discus champions and one Junior National Discus champion. He has coached five (5) boys over 180’ and one girl over 171’10” in the Discus. Bill is a USATF Level 3 Coach and Level 1 & 2 Throws Instructor. He is the Author of the USATF Instructor Training Course, The Glide Shot chapter of the USATF Coaches Manual, and Throws section of the Champion Production "Coaches Survival Guide". In addition, he has served as the USA Paralympics Throws Coach for the 2011 Pan Am Games and the 2013 World Championships.

Dr. Wendy Truvillion
is the Assistant Principal of Athletics at Maryvale High School. A former track coach at Georgia Tech and Penn State University, Truvillion presently serves as the USATF Women's Junior Development Co-Commissioner and recently worked as the Head Coach for the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championship team. Truvillion has hosted and taught at over 20 Level 1 Schools since 1994 and taught the sprints/hurdles/relays section of the 2010 Level 2 School.

Todd Hierlmaier
a high school cross-country coach for 12 years, with dozens of athletes over 4.0 GPA.  USTFCCCA certified Endurance Specialist; USATF Level 2 certified in Youth, Endurance, and Combined Events.  2012 Minnesota Ultimate Runner Series Champion.  2009 Minnesota Cross Country AA Boys coach of the year, and multiple MN 3AA Section Coach of the year honors.
